RULES AND REGULATIONS
- 1. All persons using the pool and the pool area do so at their own risk and sole responsibility. Residents and their guests agree to save harmless the Gentry Homeowners' Association and Management Company from any and all liabilities and actions, whatsoever the nature, by any resident or guest growing out of the use of the pool and pool area.
- 2. Owners and tenants shall be financially liable for any property damage caused by them, by their family members or guests.
- 3. The Homeowners' Association will not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal property of any kind.
- 4. Each resident and guest must sign in and present his or her pool pass when entering the pool area.
- 5. A resident will be admitted on a no-charge basis. Each family will be permitted two (2) guests at one time if, in the opinion of the lifeguard on duty, there is sufficient room in the pool at the time of the request.
- 6. Each resident household will be issued the number of passes equal to the number of persons residing in the household plus two (2) guest passes. Guests must be accompanied by a resident with a pool pass.
- 7. The loud playing of radios, tape players, or other sound devices, or musical instruments in the pool area is prohibited.
- 8. At the discretion of the lifeguard on duty, the pool may be cleared of all persons less than 18 years of age for a period of not more than 30 minutes. During these periods, only adults may occupy the pool.
- 9. The pool may be closed at any time due to inclement weather, malfunction of equipment, or other operational difficulties.
- 10. Residents will be held responsible for all actions of their children and guests.
- 11. In accordance with Anne Arundel County Health Code, babies requiring diapers are required to wear water proof diapers AND baby swim wear over the diaper. Failure to do so, you will be requested to remove the baby from the pool.
- 12. Children under eleven (11) years of age are not permitted in the pool unless accompanied by a guardian, eighteen years of age or older. The adult must remain within the pool area the entire time that the children are in the pool area.
- 13. Children shall be the responsibility of the parent, not the lifeguard on duty.
- 14. Only persons who can demonstrate their swimming ability to the satisfaction of the lifeguard on duty will be permitted in the deep water.
- 15. Tubes, water wings, play equipment, inflatable mats, life jackets, face masks, etc. may be used with the approval of the lifeguard on duty.
- 16. Running, pushing, wrestling, ball playing, intoxication, misconduct, or any undue disturbance in the pool area will not be tolerated and will be asked to vacate the pool area/property.
- 17. No glassware of any type will be permitted in the pool area.
- 18. Smoking is not permited on the pool grounds.
- 19. No pets are allowed in the pool area.
- 20. Wheeled vehicles, excluding wheel chairs, baby carriages or strollers, will not be permitted in the pool area.
- 21. Use of the pool chairs, tables, and chaises is for all residents and guests. No reservations or "holding" of them by means of towels or other methods will be allowed. Chairs, tables, or chaises will not be removed from the pool area.
- 22. Stunt diving is not permitted. No jumping or diving towards the walls of the pool is allowed.
- 23. Use of the handrails as a slide is not permitted.
- 24. State and County Law prohibits use of the pool unless the lifeguard is in attendance.
- 25. All persons entering the pool shall wear a clean bathing suit. Cut-offs and street attire are not permitted in the pool.
- 26. Persons must shower before using the pool.
- 27. The lifeguard on duty is responsible for strict enforcement of the Rules and Regulations and has the authority to temporarily deprive any resident or guest of use of the facility. An immediate phone call to the management company, ProCom, and a written statement are to be filed by the lifeguard with the Association within 24 hours when such action is taken.
- 28. Residents and guests may use the facility with the understanding that they must comply with all Rules and Regulations promulgated by the Municipality, the County, the State, and the Gentry Homeowners' Association. Failure to do so will result in the violator being barred from use of the pool and its facilities.
29. Failure of a unit owner to keep their monthly assessment account current,
will result in a revocation of swimming pool privileges.
