POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
The following rules and regulations are for the protection and benefit of all to assure safe and sanitary operation of the pool facilities.
Your cooperation in abiding by these conditions will afford pleasant relaxation and recreation for all concerned. Parents are requested to caution their children to observe all rules and regulations and obey instructions of all employees.
Any failure to comply with these rules shall be considered sufficient cause for any action deemed necessary by management, including the barring of violators from the pool area.
A qualified head lifeguard and assistants, under the direct supervision of the management, will be in charge of the pool.
ALL PERSONS USING THE POOL WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRESENT A VALID POOL PASS FOR ENTRY AND MUST REGISTER WITH THE ATTENDANT AT THE GATE.
- All persons using the pool and the pool area do so at their own risk and sole responsibility. Residents and their guests agree to save harmless the Gentry Homeowners’ Association and Management Company from any and all liabilities and actions, whatsoever the nature, by any resident or guest growing out of the use of the pool and pool area.
- Owners and tenants shall be financially liable for any property damage caused by them, by their family members or guests.
- The Homeowners’ Association and Management Company will not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal property of any kind.
- Each resident household “in good standing” will be issued the number of passes equal to the number of persons residing in the household plus two (2) guest passes.
- A resident will be admitted on a no-charge basis. Each family will be permitted two (2) guest at one time if, in the opinion of the lifeguard on duty, there is sufficient room in the pool at the time of the request.
- The loud playing of radios, tape player, or other sound devices, or musical instruments in the pool area is prohibited.
- At the discretion of the lifeguard on duty, the pool ma be cleared of all persons less than 18 years of age for a period of not more than 30 minutes. During these periods, only adults may occupy the pool.
- The poll may be closed at any time due to inclement weather, malfunction of equipment, or other operational difficulties.
- Residents will be held responsible for all actions of their children and guests.
- Children shall be the responsibility of the parent or guardian, not the lifeguard on duty.
- In accordance with Anne Arundel County Health Code, babies requiring diapers are required to wear waterproof diapers AND baby swim wear over the diaper. Failing to do so, you will be required to remove the baby from the pool.
- Children under eleven (11) years if age are not permitted in the pool unless accompanied by a guardian, eighteen years of age or older. The adult must remain in the pool area the entire time that the children are in the pool area.
- Only persons who can demonstrate their swimming ability to the satisfaction of the lifeguard on duty will be permitted in the deep water.
- Tubes, water wings, play equipment, inflatable mats, life jackets, face masks, etc. may be used with the approval of the lifeguard on duty.
- Running, pushing, wrestling, ball playing, intoxication, misconduct, or any undue disturbance in the pool area will not be tolerated and violators will be asked to vacate the pool area property.
- No glassware of any type will be permitted in the pool area.
- SMOKING is not permitted in the pool, or within ten (10) feet of the perimeter thereof.
- Papers, cigarettes, cigars, and refuse of all kinds must be deposited in receptacles.
- No pets are allowed in the pool area.
- Wheeled vehicles, excluding wheel chairs, baby carriages of strollers, will not be permitted in the pool area.
- Use of the pool chairs, tables, and chaises is for all residents and guests. No reservations or “holding’” of them by means of towels or other methods will be allowed. Chairs, tables, or chases will not be removed from the pool area.
- Stunt diving is not permitted. No jumping of diving towards the walls of the pool is allowed.
- Use of the hand rails as a slide is not permitted.
- State and County Law prohibit use of the pool unless a lifeguard is in attendance.
- All persons entering the pool shall wear a clean bathing suit. Cut-offs and street attire are not permitted in the pool.
- Persons must shower before using the pool.
- The lifeguard on duty is responsible for strict enforcement of the Rules and Regulations and has the authority to temporarily deprive any resident of guest of use of the facility. An immediate phone call to the management company, ProCom, and a written statement are to be filed by the lifeguard with the Association within 24 hours of such action having been taken.
- Residents and guest may use the facility with the understanding that they must comply with the Rules and Regulation promulgated by the Municipality, the County, the State, and the Gentry Homeowners’ Association. Failure to do so will result in the violator being barred from use of the pool and its facilities.
- Failure of a unit owner to keep their monthly assessment account current will result in a revocation of pool privileges.
